Retro
It is often possible to identify what decade a work of graphic design was created in. But, in fact, all design styles are a mixture of homage, of protest against, surreptitious borrowing, or an unconscious repetition of the work that came before. I created the fictional band Retro in order to design their imaginary album covers and concert posters. It was an excuse to play with some of the graphic art genres that have influenced me over the years.
